A Christmas Lunch Box Menu
Golden Chestnut SoupHere's a warm welcome to the holidays -- a lunch box filled with traditional wintertime fare. Creamy, piping hot Golden Chestnut Soup warms the tummy and satisfies the soul. Brussels sprouts have long complemented chestnuts and this time is no exception; I find them addictive in this sweet, tangy sauce.

Gingerbread Vegans with Icing & Sprinkles

Clementines and Satsumas are sweet, seedless mandarin oranges that become available each year around Christmastime. Pick some up for a special holiday treat and old-time stocking stuffer.
The Gingerbread Vegans are most fun when they are packed along with some sprinkles and a miniature piping bag filled with icing, so the luncher can decorate the cookies right before eating them (see directions in the recipe below).
And finally, what would the holidays be without some soy nog? I think Silk brand soy nog is one of the best things in life. Really, give it a try -- it will nog your socks off (hee hee).

i LOVE the nog. It's a little pricey for such a small container, so this year for weeks I would go to the store and pine over it. So, finally, I broke down and bought a carton. Two days later, the power went out and I lost everything in the fridge. Blast!

myself i like slik soy milk even thogh iam not vegan myself but i do like to expriment with vagan recipe and aginst animal testing i belive that people dont unstand people that are vegan dont say things that are good but i belive that what evel life syle you are its ok by me

Another idea for an egg-nog substitute - try the Bolthouse Farms, Perfectly Protein Chai Tea. I know the name doesn't sound like it would taste like egg-nog but for me its very similar!! The product is vegan too. Very yummy stuff and on top of it, its full of plenty of vitamins and nutrients:)
